Hello, little biscuits! :D
Welcome to Moonbeam99 Talks, where I express my opinions about Animal Jam and real life alike!
Before I get into this, I'd like to talk quickly about the Killer Clowns. They are in my area, sadly. I am very scared, but I know that they won't hurt me and I can call the police if I see one. If any of you want to talk about the clowns, whizz me a JAG or a comment here (you can even private message my Wattpad: @cloudstar-sweg!) Thanks!
Well, let's talk about roleplay. I'm sure you've all seen Clans roleplaying in Sarepia Forest. I'm sure you've seen a video by King Bean or WisteriaMOON mocking them for their seriousness. We all know the Clanners of Animal Jam. They even have a Wiki!
Why do people roleplay? Because they like it. They like pretending to hunt. It's fun to play a game... inside a game. Personally, I can't keep a straight face when I try to roleplay, but I don't like it when people tease them or ruin their game. That's not 'funny', that's selfishness.
The Pillow Room. Oh, the Pillow Room. Jammers have been fighting over that one for longer than I've been on the game (and that's a long time). Mainly because it's a huge source of roleplay, but where Sarepia is occasionally empty, you will ALWAYS find somebody in there. "Adopt me!" "Needs mum!" "Wants family!" Family roleplayers. I think that's perfectly fine! It's only roleplay after all. But THIS is when it goes wrong.
"Adopt me! Is a beautiful little girl with fire powers!"
"Adopt me! Members only!"
Firstly, look. If you want to have fire powers and burn down my den, that's fine, I won't adopt you.
Secondly. Members only? What the heck? What difference will that make? A slightly bigger den? A shiny tag? WHY CAN'T NON MEMBERS ADOPT YOU TOO? It's just another barrier you're setting up, another disadvantage to non members. Since when do you own the Pillow Room? If you want to get adopted at all, DON'T. SAY. PEOPLE. CAN'T. ADOPT YOU!
Okay, glad I got that off my chest.
Have a lovely day, biscuits! More posts coming soon!
